School Guard™ from kajeet

This is a new program launched in the summer of 2012 which is free for schools. It is the first program from a national wireless provider to facilitate cooperation between schools/teachers and parents to ensure student devices are used appropriately during school hours. Schools enroll for free, provide their digital use policies and define their school hours. Parents can then "opt-in" their student's smartphone or tablet allowing the school's policy to manage their student's mobile broadband access during the school day. This addresses the "3G gap" in most BYOD / BYOT programs where students bring their own network as well as their own device. Schools earn donations back based on parent enrollments (akin to a BoxTops type model). Learn more about School Guard™ here.
