Tech Companies Celebrate Earth Day in Cool Ways
IT Week reviews how tech companies are celebrating Earth Day and higlights the kajeet Plant a Tree initiative.
"kajeet began its plant a tree program this month in partnership with social venture company Mokugift and the United Nation's Environment Programme's "One Billion Tree Campaign." With the purchase of any recycled cell phone, kajeet will plant a tree in the customer's name in a deforested region of the world. The customer will receive information about where the tree was planted, what type of tree it was, learn more about global warming and how to plant more trees. kajeet will also supply customers with postage-paid envelopes to return any unused, unwanted phones for recycling. Check out the plant a tree site and the amazing graphics."
