Meet Epic Charging

Epic Charging is an EV charging software company focused on delivering a better charging experience for site hosts, partners, and drivers across workplace, multifamily, hospitality, fleet, parking, and public charging environments. Founded in 2021, the company helps customers operate reliable, scalable charging networks through hardware-agnostic, vendor-neutral charging management software. A key part of its work is helping customers transition from legacy providers to the Epic platform with minimal disruption.

The Challenge: A Time-Sensitive Charger Migration

When Epic Charging began migrating chargers from EvoCharge to its own platform, connectivity and operational execution became two of the most critical pieces of the project. EvoCharge was winding down its U.S. operations, leaving customers in need of a dependable path forward. During this type of live migration, chargers must come online quickly, communicate consistently, and remain stable so drivers can continue charging with as little downtime as possible.

More Than a SIM Transition

The transition involved more than moving SIMs from one device to another.

Epic Charging needed to:

  • Move the account from EvoCharge to Epic

  • Set up access for the right users

  • Train the team

  • Sign a new contract

  • Update pricing

  • Align operational details required to support the new environment

More than 300 chargers were migrated during the main transition period, making speed, coordination, and visibility essential.

Why Epic Charging Chose Kajeet

When looking for a connectivity partner, Kajeet stood out to Epic because the team understood both the urgency and the complexity of the migration. This was not a standard connectivity deployment; it was a real-world network transition where reliability, speed, responsiveness, and follow-through mattered.

“The Kajeet team handled the operational pieces with remarkable speed, ensuring Epic Charging had full account access and visibility into SIMs, traffic, and usage from day one,” shares Ian Vishnevsky, Epic Charging’s COO/CFO.

Kajeet Sentinel also gave Epic Charging the visibility it needed to manage connectivity across its network. Through the platform, the team could monitor its fleet of SIMs, check active status, and maintain visibility into connectivity across the deployment. That access helped Epic Charging bring chargers online, stabilize communications, and reduce friction throughout the cutover process.

The Result: A Seamless Migration

The result was a smoother, more efficient migration experience for Epic Charging and its customers, including large customers that needed continuity throughout the transition. By helping chargers stay connected and manageable, Kajeet enabled Epic Charging to take over network operations with greater confidence and less administrative burden.

“Stable connectivity was absolutely critical,” said Vishnevsky. “We needed chargers to come online quickly and remain connected throughout the transition, and Kajeet played an important role in making that happen.”

“What stood out was their responsiveness, their understanding of the operational urgency, and their ability to support us in a real-world deployment environment. The Kajeet team drove the process end to end, from account access and training to visibility into SIMs, traffic, and usage. We didn’t have to chase or follow up, and that level of execution made the migration painless on our side.”

For Epic Charging, Kajeet was more than a connectivity vendor. Kajeet was a responsive partner that helped execute an important migration when performance mattered most.

The partnership is also positioned to support Epic Charging’s continued growth. Over the next year, Epic Charging plans to continue scaling its deployment with reliable managed wireless connectivity as the network grows.
