Our very own Michael Flood, VP of Strategy for Kajeet, was elected to the CoSN board of directors. CoSN board members are elected by the CoSN membership each fall and serve three-year terms. The group is responsible for all CoSN policy and business decisions. Michael is also the co-chair for the upcoming CoSN conference in Atlanta.

CoSN serves a leading role in many areas today, including the support and guidance of standards, coordination of technology leadership with other organizations and constituencies in the education enterprise and political arena, the advancement of higher credentials and recognition for top technology leadership, advocacy for increased funding and support of technology, collaboration to address threats to all of the above (technical and political).

Michael focuses on technology’s transformative role in education, with a particular emphasis on Mobile Learning. At Kajeet, Michael leads education industry initiatives including strategy, product, and sales. Michael is active with ISTE SIGML, and has served on the Wireless EdTech Advisory Board. Michael is also a member of the Emerging Technologies Committee and the Leadership for Mobile Learning Initiative for the Consortium on School Networking (CoSN). In 2013, Michael was named Private Sector Champion by CoSN in recognition for his service to the Education Technology leadership community. In Atlanta, Michael serves as the Chairman for the Board of Advisers to AIESEC (the world’s largest student-run organization) and volunteers with AFS Intercultural Programs (a high school and teacher exchange program). He has guest lectured on education technology at Georgia Perimeter College and has served on the Advisory Board for Georgia Tech’s Center for International Business, Education and Research.

Don't forget to stop by to visit us at the CoSN conference in a few weeks.
